Class Notes

Classes are a fun way to meet new people while learning new techniques. All you need to do is come in and sign up or send us the class fee in the mail.

We encourage you to purchase your supplies at Quilter's Hive and our talented staff will be glad to help you coordinate fabrics for your projects. Also, we'd like to remind you not to wait until the day before the class to do so. Even though we do our best to have everything you'll need, we cannot guarantee to have 12 copies of a specific book or supply in stock at the last minute.

Most of our classes are technique classes and instruct you in the making of the quilt top only. We design our classes to get you through that step and then suggest that you take either a hand or machine quilting class to help you through that process.

The reason for that is the quilting process doesn't change from one quilt to the next. We don't want you to feel abandoned at the end of a class, but we also don't want to teach the same skill at the end of every class. We also don't know if you want to hand or machine quilt and those techniques are so different that we want you to select the method that you prefer and learn it once.

Class Sign-up Policy

Class fees are due at the time of registration.  If you register by phone, a credit card (Visa or Master Card) will hold your space.  Fees will be cheerfully refunded if you cancel 2 weeks prior to the start of class. Be sure to pick up a supply list before the class. Quite a few classes have had to be cancelled because of late sign ups.  We have to make a decision one week prior to class.  So if you are interested be sure to sign up before then.
